Furthermore, the CES is the only school on the West Coast that offers a Ph.D. in disability studies.

- Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training
Chapman University's Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) boasts a 30-year history of producing hundreds of graduates who are successfully employed locally and nationally at the professional, collegiate, and secondary school levels as athletic trainers and educators. Combining comprehensive academic coursework with clinical hands-on experiences, our program prepares students for careers and/or graduate studies in a variety of fields, including: athletic training, physical or occupational therapy, physician assistant or medical school, nursing/nurse practitioner, healthcare and sports/fitness administration.

- Ph.D. in Education
The Ph.D. in Education program at Chapman University's College of Educational Studies is intended primarily for individuals seeking a career in higher education or in other research-oriented leadership fields. The program focuses on the formulation of new ways to think about issues and solve problems in the field of education. The Ph.D. in Education program is the only one in the area that offers a unique combination of three emphases: Cultural and Curricular Studies, Disability Studies, and School of Psychology. The CES faculty, students, and field-based practitioners all bring a wealth of knowledge and experiences to the program and all learn from each other.
- Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders
The Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders program prepares you for clinical or supervisory positions in healthcare and education. Through skillful leadership and individualized instruction, you will develop competency as speech-language pathologists and be prepared to assess and treat people with mild to severe communication disorders and disabilities (stuttering, hearing loss, deafness, cleft palate, articulation disorders, voice abnormalities and traumatic brain injury). You will also be able to counsel spouses, families, siblings, and educators on how to work with children and adults who use hearing aids, augmentative and alternative communication systems, and other assistive technologies used to communicate.
- Master of Arts in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling
The School Counseling Program builds on the mission of the College of Educational Studies by seeking to prepare knowledgeable, skilled and reflective School Counselors who are effective change agents for individuals, families, communities and institutions. The program makes every effort to prepare candidates for working with parents and youth of varied abilities, cultural backgrounds, economic levels and value orientations.
- Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology/Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology
The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Program in School Psychology has been fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) since 2005. A graduate of a NASP-approved program is automatically eligible to become a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP), pending documentation of an internship consistent with NASP standards and attainment of a passing score on the national school psychology (PRAXIS II) examination.

The goal of the Master of Arts in Education (MAE) program is the development of knowledgeable, thoughtful and ethical educator/citizens committed to the universal values of democracy, care and justice. The program is designed for individuals seeking a career or advancement opportunities in education as a teacher or administrator.
- Master of Arts in Teaching: Elementary Education (Multiple Subject Credential; Multiple Subject Credential/Bilingual Emphasis Option)
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in elementary education is targeted to individuals who wish to begin their teaching careers with both a teaching credential and a master's degree. Major themes found in both the credential and advanced core courses include teacher as constructivist, nurturer, moral educator, reflective practitioner, mediator of diversity and change agent. It is the credential sought by those who wish to teach elementary school (K-6).
- Master of Arts in Teaching: Secondary Education (Single Subject Credential)
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in secondary education is targeted to individuals who wish to begin their teaching careers with both a teaching credential and a master's degree. Major themes found in both the credential and advanced core courses include teacher as constructivist, nurturer, moral educator, reflective practitioner, mediator of diversity and change agent. It is the credential sought by those who wish to teach beyond elementary school (7-12).
