Dr. Judy K. Montgomery, professor of education and a board-recognized specialist in child language, was interviewed on ABC’s Good Morning America in April for a segment on the importance of baby talk. Dr. Montgomery discussed her latest research project involving child language, and her areas of study on how parents can help their children develop an extensive vocabulary. She is currently the editor-in-chief of the journal Communication Disorders Quarterly and serves on the board of LENA (Language ENvironment Analysis), a system that was created to give parents an in-depth look into their child’s natural language environment and development by providing scientifically advanced and accurate reports. |
