Communications Sciences and Disorders Program: Launching Fall 2009

Two years of creative planning and document writing has resulted in the launch of a new Master of Science program for the College of Educational Studies. In 2009, Communication Sciences and Disorders began admitting students for the graduate degree needed to become speech language pathologists. National certification from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.

Program Director Dr. Judy Montgomery, CCC-SLP, announced that “There is a nationwide shortage of speech language pathologists, and in response Chapman University has opened the first masters level program in California in 24 years!”
